Mother's Day Time to Teal Virtual Run 2020
We Went Virtual in 2020!
Our Mother's Day Time to Teal 5K and 1-mile fun walk/run was held on May 10, 2020 to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and celebrate the women in our lives. Hosted by the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MIOCA), this event pivoted to a virtual format in 2020 with individuals participating throughout Michigan and beyond. Hundreds of photos and videos were posted to our Facebook page showcasing the virtual runs/walks.
Participants received their race packets and t-shirts in the mail before the big day. Creative routes were selected, many in the shape of TEAL, to add fun to participation. Teams and individuals walked in their neighborhood or ran/walked in parks - all raising awareness! Special prizes were given for best teal costume, best pet costume, best survivor costume, most creative route and top fundraiser.
