Ride for a Cure
May 16, 2014
“What can one individual do to help make a difference?” MIOCA supporter, Matt McEwen intends to find out by taking to the road this spring and summer, in memory of his late wife, Wendy McEwen. Riding across the US to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and funds for MIOCA, he will enroll Motorcycle Owners Associations Chapters nationwide, to focus attention on the critical need for early detection and better treatments. Because he “can’t just sit on the sidelines while we lose more women like Wendy to this deadly disease”, read about Matt's ride throughout the country here.
ATHLETA Unleash the SHE
May 11, 2014
The first Unleash the She 5K/10K run was a tremendous success with over 400 runners participating! It was an inspirational day as many teams came out to support survivors or to run in memory of women who have passed. We want to thank the participants, our friends at Final Stretch Inc., and the many volunteers who donated time to make this event more than memorable.
